The Glorious Promise of Salvation in Mary’s Assumption to Heaven

While we are not deserving of the glorious assumption that the Mother of our Lord has enjoyed, we deserve to follow Mary’s example of virtue, obedience, and patience in her suffering alongside our Lord Jesus Christ. It may not be a promise but, as what the Blessed Virgin had promised Saint Bernadette in Lourdes, we can only have happiness in the next life and not in this one.

The Lord’s Prayer: The Prayer of all prayers.

Wherever we go, there are prayers that we say alongside our personal supplications. One of them is the Lord’s Prayer, which we affectionately know as the “Our Father”. As we recite the Lord’s Prayer today, let us remember that we aren’t just saying meaningless words. Rather, we are putting ourselves to the loving protection of God, entrusting ourselves to His fatherly care, and declare our Christianity through the prayer our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has taught us.
